Daini Seikosha developed caliber 852 for their high end Quartz series King Quartz which was sold in the years 1975-1977

It has design features we find common today, but was groundbreaking in 1975. It had a quartz crystal with oscillations of 16,384Hz and used a CMOS integrated circuit to reduce battery consumption.

The clock had a function where you could set it if it ran too fast or too slow.

The quality of the top line of Quartz watches reflects that it was state of the art in 1975.
